Adult and Pediatric Laryngology, Care of the Professional Voice, Airway Disorders, Thyroid and Parathyroid disorders, Head and Neck Cancer, and Care of Swallowing Disorders, Snoring
Disorders in which Dr. Noordzij has special expertise:
- Hoarseness in professional voice users including performing artists, educators, executives, clergy, lecturers, etc.
- Acute and chronic laryngitis
- Laryngeal (throat) cancer and precancerous dysplasia
- Spasmodic dysphonia and other neurological diseases that effect voice production including Parkinson’s Disease, stroke and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)
- Airway stenosis including laryngotracheal reconstruction
- Laryngeal trauma
- Vocal fold paralysis/paresis (vocal cord weakness)
- Benign vocal fold lesions including nodules (singer’s nodes), polyps, cysts, papillomatosis, and granulomas
- Functional voice disorders such as muscular tension dysphonia
- Paradoxical vocal focal motion (vocal cord dysfunction)
- Thyroid nodules and goiters
- Thyroid cancer including papillary and follicular carcinoma requiring surgery using with small incisions and outpatient, minimally invasive thyroidectomy
- Thyroid cancer extending into neck lymph nodes
- Hypercalcemia
- Parathyroid adenoma/hyperplasia requiring surgery using minimally invasive parathyroid surgery

- Snoring – offers Injection Snoreplasty which is a nonsurgical treatment for snoring that involves the injection of a hardening agent into the roof of the mouth. This highly effective, well tolerated treatment is performed in the clinic and allows patients to return to work that same day.
