Welcome to The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. While the practice of otolaryngology has been associated with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the ears, nose, and throat (ENT), in addition, however, otolaryngologists are expert in diagnosis and treatment of cancer of the head and neck, sinus conditions, allergy, sleep disorders and snoring, as well as facial plastic and reconstruction surgery. We also offer specialized treatment of swallowing disorders, voice problems, dizziness and balance disorders, and hearing loss. With our clinic in the beautiful new Moakley Building at the Boston Medical Center, the department physicians treat approximately 13,000 patients per year in the otolaryngology outpatient clinics and perform nearly 1700 hospital surgical procedures annually. In conjunction with the mission of the Boston Medical Center, we are proud to offer Exceptional Care without Exception.

As an academic practice, the faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery train medical students and residents, hold offices in prestigious national otolaryngologic societies, conduct research studies, write articles for journals and books, and lecture both nationally and internationally to other physicians.
